When ready, your results will be delivered in a clear, easy-to-understand report. If any results suggest a potential infection, you’ll receive a call from an independent healthcare coordinator. Independent physicians are also available to answer any questions or discuss your results in detail.

Test Details & What It Measures
An Estradiol test measures the amount of estradiol (E2) in your blood, the most active form of estrogen, a hormone essential for reproductive and overall health. In women, estradiol helps regulate the menstrual cycle, supports ovulation, and maintains the health of reproductive tissues, bones, and skin. In men, it plays a role in maintaining bone density and modulating libido. This test is commonly used to evaluate fertility, diagnose menstrual or ovulatory disorders, monitor hormone therapy, and assess conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or menopause.
Normal estradiol levels vary significantly based on age, sex, and menstrual cycle phase. In premenopausal women, levels typically range from 15 to 350 pg/mL, peaking around ovulation. In postmenopausal women, levels are usually lower, often <30 pg/mL. In men, normal estradiol levels range from 10 to 40 pg/mL. Abnormal estradiol levels may indicate issues with the ovaries, pituitary gland, or adrenal glands, and are often evaluated alongside other hormones like FSH, LH, and progesterone for a complete picture.
